Enterprises rely on core infrastructure, such as middleware platforms, to maintain high uptime and deliver consistent quality of service. In the event of unexpected downtime, businesses expect timely notifications and updates. When enterprises depend on a core platform within a PaaS model, any platform downtime directly affects their operations. Therefore, minimizing downtime and providing transparent, real-time information is critical.

Introducing Our Status Pages

With Release 19, we launched our system status pages, available at PolyAPI System Status. These pages provide real-time insights into service performance and allow users to drill down into instance-specific pages, such as NA1 Instance.

These public status pages help customers in two important ways. Current users can quickly check for service interruptions and stay informed on our resolution efforts, while prospective customers can see our commitment to reliability and transparency. Previously, uptime calculations were only available on demand, limiting public visibility and proactive notification options. Now, customers can subscribe to alerts and receive updates automatically in case of disruptions.

Service Reliability & Uptime

To help customers assess potential impacts, we have segmented our platform into five key components. The most critical are API & WH Gateways and Server Function Runtime, as they support all runtime flows. Canopy is also essential for applications that involve user interactions in runtime flows. The other components focus on managing and maintaining integrations but do not cause runtime downtime.

Our goal is to maintain at least 99.9% uptime, with a stretch target of 99.99% uptime. The difference is significant—99.9% allows for nearly nine hours of downtime per year, while 99.99% reduces it to less than one hour. Since implementing detailed tracking, we have achieved 99.98% uptime in NA1 and 100% in other instances.

Stay Notified & Connected

If you use our platform, we strongly encourage you to subscribe to notifications for your instance via the status pages. This ensures that you receive timely alerts about any service disruptions.

To further enhance service quality, security, and scalability, we recently welcomed two seasoned Cloud Engineers to our team: Nahuel Robollo Neira (previously at Kong, MuleSoft) and Don Chiniquy (previously at Nike). Their expertise will help us optimize infrastructure costs while maintaining high performance and reliability.
